Use a simple stone, or some other small token, as a reminder to be grateful for the things we have. Have your group sit in a circle. Pass the stone around the circle, and have each person name something for which they are grateful. Encourage each child to name something that can’t be purchased, and to name something new each time. You might start this by doing it every week, and then increasing it to every day as they get more practice thinking of all the things they have to be grateful for.
This is a great activity to do in the mornings before everyone rushes off to school and work. Huddle together as a family before you walk out the door, pass the gratitude stone, and send everyone off in a grateful mindset.
