Clinical Training
We are deeply committed to training the next generation of mental health providers through our APA Accredited Doctoral Internship program and practicum experiences. We offer rich opportunities to develop skills in various interventions emphasizing cultural, societal, and contextual considerations.
Why Momentous Institute?
- We focus on the acquisition of specific competencies of advanced clinical skills and professional identity, strongly guided by the ability to cultivate a posture of self-reflection.
- Opportunities to develop skills in individual, group, family, and play therapy with children, adolescents, and adults.
- An emphasis is placed on providing linguistically and trauma-informed psychological assessments, expanding caregivers’ understanding of a child’s strengths and needs. We focus on telling the child’s story through the assessment rather than solely making a diagnosis.
- Spanish-speaking students wishing to develop clinical competencies in Spanish receive supervision from bi-lingual supervisors focused on developing this important skill.
