Momentous Institute specializes in trauma-informed, culturally responsive, family-based mental health services for young people and their families.
A Holistic Approach
Our approach to mental health challenges is through understanding and compassion.
We recognize the importance of unearthing and addressing underlying causes and highlighting strengths, rather than simply treating symptoms.
Momentous Institute specializes in accessible family-based mental health services for youth and their families. Our team of over 30 licensed therapists and parent educators share a belief that all families deserve to heal and thrive, so we provide affordable services to children ages 0 to 15 and their families. All programming is offered in both English and Spanish and there is no requirement to live in a specific zip code.
We offer mental health services in-person and via telehealth.
Therapy for Youth
Our licensed therapists specialize in family, individual, play, and group therapy. Because each situation is unique, our therapists utilize a variety of approaches. This might include working individually with a therapist or in one of our group programs. Our team of experts will help provide the best path for healing on a case-by-case basis.
Parent Education
Momentous Institute provides a variety of in-person and virtual parent education classes. Please contact us for a current list of classes or if you are an organization or school interested in hosting a class at your location.
Nature-Based Services
In addition to providing direct services virtually and at our Dallas based facility, Momentous Institute utilizes our 1,400-acre nature-based campus in the Piney Woods region of east Texas. Research shows that time in nature improves communication, problem solving, and reduces stress, depression, and anxiety.
Our property, naturally preserved and rich in biodiversity, provides a unique opportunity to combine the outdoors with research-backed mental health approaches. With nature as our co-therapist, children and families visiting can disconnect from real-world distractions and reconnect with themselves and the world around them. We offer mental health services and parent education classes in-person, online and via telehealth.
We believe high-quality mental health services should be accessible to everyone. No one is denied services for an inability to pay. We do not bill insurance but rather determine a fee based on a sliding scale, where families help decide what they can afford to pay.
