Worry Dolls

The idea of worry dolls comes from a Guatemalan legend. These are great for a child who sometimes becomes consumed with worry.

There are official worry doll sets available at international stores or online, or really any stuffed animal or doll could be put to duty. Here’s how you use them:

Have the child whisper his worry to the worry doll. The doll will now hold this worry for the child, so that he doesn’t have to worry about it anymore. Pretty simple! The doll can be placed into a little box or under his pillow at night.

Sometimes just the simple act of releasing a worry is all a kid needs to move on. The worry dolls are a great tangible way to help a child do just that.
