The full-day training at Momentous Institute on June 6th will be divided into three sections: wellness strategies, trauma, and challenging behaviors.
Part 1: Cultivating Wellness Strategies for Strong Mental Health
This section focuses on strategies to support mental health and emotional resilience. Participants will explore practices that promote self regulation, connection, and well-being in school and community settings. Emphasis will be placed on creating safe, supportive environments that nurture growth and foster a sense of belonging.
Part 2: Understanding Trauma
Attendees will deepen their understanding of trauma and its impact on behavior. Participants will learn to implement trauma-informed practices that promote healing, learning, and engagement.
Part 3: Challenging Behaviors
This section explores the root causes of challenging behaviors. By using a strengths-based, brain-body approach, a focus will be placed on reframing these behaviors as communication and adaptive responses. Using compassionate, relationship-based approaches, participants will learn practical strategies to de-escalate situations, build trust, and support skill development in children.
By the end of this training, participants will leave with a comprehensive understanding of mental health, trauma, and behavior, as well as practical tools to foster well-being and create supportive environments for all.
