Taking someone else's perspective is not an innate skill. This is why it is important for kids to have plenty of practice taking the perspective of others. This activity provides an opportunity for kids to put on their perspectacles and see a situation through a new lens.
Perspectacles can be used to introduce kids to the concept of perspective taking and also as a tool for regulation or conflict resolution. When we put on our perspectacles, we see it's okay that we each have our own unique needs, ideas and opinions.
