Every morning at Momentous School starts with a morning meeting. This morning routine is a time at the beginning of each day for welcoming students and making each student feel important and valued. A morning meeting starts the day off on the right foot. It’s an opportunity for connection and strengthening relationships with your students. They don’t need to last long – it’s difficult for young children to sit more than 15 minutes at a time. Spending a few minutes together in the morning is a great social emotional health practice and has a profound impact on the day – keeping students engaged and forming connections with the teacher and other students in the classroom.
